The Metropolitan Youth Orchestra (MYO) is a youth and family development program of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. The program is designed to use the life skills learned in music instruction to engage youth in activities that discourage at-risk behaviors and keep them committed to staying in school.

Senior Spotlight: AB

 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: AREN BOTTOMS



MYO Senior, Aren Bottoms, graduated from Broad Ripple High School where she participated in Orchestra, Band, Theatre, and the Humanitary Advisory Council. At Broad Ripple, Aren also was a member of the National Honor Society and the High Honor roll. Aren enjoys reading and listening to music. 
She will attend Indiana University in the fall and will major in Early Childhood Education. Aren plans to become a teacher for grades K-3. 

Aren's words for Mrs. Perry about participating in MYO:
"I am beyond grateful for every opportunity you have given me these past 14 years. I have learned so much under your guidance and I know I still have so much more to learn from you. I may be graduating bu I am still your student and I refuse to say goodbye to the Great, Great, Great, Great, etc. Mrs. Perry!"
